Locomotive Modules

Model locomotive constant lighting just got easier. Our wide selection of constant light modules cover a large range of scales and come completely assembled with installation instructions. The electronics are encased in an insulated micro-size module making them suitable for installation in virtually all locomotives.

To install, simply connect the module in series with either motor wire and route the bulb/s to their installed locations. For steam, or larger locomotives, use our GRS906 or GRS907 Micro Connectors for interconnecting the module and bulb/s. These are included in the GRS903, 904 and 905 models.

The GRS900, 901, and 902 series of modules are designed for use in the smaller HO through S gauge locomotives whereas the GRS903, 904 and 905 series are designed for the larger S, O and G scale locomotives. The smaller modules will carry up to 1A of current and the larger up to 3A.

The GRS900 module is equipped with one wired in 1.5V constant (headlight) micro bulb that remains on in both the forward and reverse direction.

The GRS901 module is equipped with one 1.5V constant headlight micro bulb and one 1.5V reverse micro bulb that operates only in the reverse direction. Both bulbs are wired into the module.

The GRS902 module is equipped with two 1.5 V wired in micro bulbs; each with an auto reverse feature, i.e., one light on, one light off, depending on direction.

The GRS903, 904, and 905 perform the same function as the respective GRS900, 901 and 902 modules, except for the heavier components incorporated to accommodate the larger current draws. Each package contains two micro-connectors for interconnecting the bulbs to the locolite module. No bulbs are included, but the GRS505 1.5V GOR bulb provides an excellent light source for these larger scale locomotives.
